Lucy doesn’t have much going in her life, but a true crime podcaster just made it worse.

Five years ago, Lucy’s best friend Savvy is murdered and she is the prime suspect.

Unfortunately, Lucy has no memory of that night, so she can’t even defend herself.

She left her small Texas town where everyone, including her parents and husband, believe she is guilty even if there is no evidence.

Her grandmother (the only one to believe Lucy is innocent) guilts her into coming home for her birthday and tricks her into meeting with the podcaster, Ben.

Since he already put her in the spotlight, they might as well work together to try to find the murderer, even if it turns out to be Lucy.

Tintera’s adult debut kept me hooked and I finished it in one day!

With multiple suspects, motives and small town drama, I could not put this mystery down.

I gave it 5 stars, not because it was life changing, but because I was invested in the characters and wanted to find out “who done it”. Fans of Lucy Foley and Ruth Ware should enjoy this mystery.
