Baxter, Abigail, Turner and Emerson have always been known as the Getalong Gang, at least by their parents. In reality they don’t get along….at all.

When they are forced together for a team tournament it ends in disaster as arguments erupt. Now they must come together to complete an extra credit assignment to make up for the failed teamwork.

Baxter’s mom decides a week with her survivalist uncle is just what the four of them need to get along. But as mishaps and arguments continue, will the four of them ever truly learn what it means to work together.

I enjoyed the survival tips but sometimes the story dragged a bit. It was a different take on a survival story, and the pace picked up at the end.

Overall I would recommend it to most middle grade students, but there are faster paced adventure stories that I would choose first.
